Advanced Biology

Advanced Biology is one of the choices students have to complete their 3 credits of science required for graduation from MVHS. The course will be an exploration of the diversity of life through an in depth study of the six kingdoms: Archaea, Bacteria, Protista, Fungi, Plantae, and Animalia. The plant and animal kingdoms are covered in greater depth, especially the animal kingdom. Examining how organisms are uniquely adapted to their environment, major evolutionary developments, and evolutionary relationships between groups of organisms are major themes running through the whole course.
